About Didier Bokelo
Didier Bokelo Bile is an agro-engineer and book writer from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Didier graduated from the University of Kinshasa and Remote sensing from ERAIFT school. Therefore, he works in the research mapping sector. For instance, he participated in the 21st United Nation conference on climate change in 2015. Didier, therefore, combines his scientific papers and engineer career with book writing.
His first book was released in 2016 through Harmattan publisher (cover image below). Titled “Papa Wemba, Icône de la Musique Africaine, de Génération en Génération“, the book is the result of many interviews with Papa Wemba and his inner circle. It is interesting documentation for those who appreciate the “Kuru Yaka” and his incredible career. It definitely is a good book to learn more then what Wikipedia has to offer (so far). We are looking forward to seeing how Didier will contribute to the Congolese music universe next.
